KITCHEN ISLAND was conceived in response to a private client’s request to create a central gathering space for her family.
The design draws inspiration from the material palette and tones of the home, integrating seamlessly into its environment. This bespoke piece serves as a subtle yet striking divider between the kitchen and living area. Its strong graphic presence is defined by vertical anodized aluminium fins that wrap harmoniously around the structure.
The project explores the dialogue between materials, combining anodized aluminium flat tubes with darkened oak wood. Both functional and refined, the island features high-end kitchen drawers and a generous countertop, allowing a family of six to comfortably gather for breakfasts and dinners. A footrest has been integrated to enhance seating comfort.
Custom high stools complete the ensemble, creating a bold contrast with their vivid yellow legs and oak seating pads that echo the main structure.
